Brafferton Arbor, Buttershaw Estate, Bradford, West Yorkshire UK August 1982. May 22nd 2017 sees the BFI release a 2k restored version of the original Super 16mm film of Rita Sue and Bob Too, by the late Andrea Dunbar, directed by Alan Clarke. Andrea was brought up on 'The Arbor' which featured in the film. Filmed on the Buttershaw Council estate in 1987 where Andrea was raised, these black and white images from 1982 portray the gritty surroundings of a typical northern working class sink estate.
